Cook the onion for 5 mins and then add the chopped courgettes and cook for a further 5-10 mins until fairly soft. Add the tomatoes, basil and seasoning. Cover and simmer gently for about 20 mins.
Tip the mixture into a dish. Mix the breadcrumbs and the cheese together and sprinkle over the vegetables. Put it into a hot oven to brown the top.
